BIBLICAL JUSTICE
Isaiah 1:17 Learn to do good; seek justice, correct oppression; bring justice to the fatherless, plead the widow’s cause.

Micah 6:8 He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

James 1:27 Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit the orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world.

God’s Word is very clear that God cares greatly about justice. It is why God went out of His way to become one of us, live the life we could not, die the death we should have, rose from the dead, and is coming back again. He desired greatly to set mankind free from the oppression of sin. When it comes to justice it is important one does not make the Gospel all about social justice which can lead to the Social Gospel; this is a false gospel. This is why at Acts Community Church we call it Biblical Justice. The Gospel is the answer to the injustices that are taking place in our nation. Sin is the greatest oppressor and when mankind comes to an understanding of their great need for Jesus no longer do they want to participate in injustice. The Gospel radically transforms their heart to now love God and love all people. Acts Community Church desires greatly to see all injustices corrected but particularly these injustices currently taking place in our communities, cities, and nation.

FATHERLESS
Being a dad is one of the most vital jobs any man can have. However, in our community we see youth living in a single-parent home and endless amount of children grow up without both the love and support of their father. Young people who do not have have a father figure in their lives are more likely to drop out of school, get involved in the criminal justice system, and become teen parents themselves.
We want to come alongside and teach men how to be fathers and allow them opportunities to be involved in their child’s life from coaching on sports teams, going camping, fishing, attending parenting classes, taking part in daddy-daughter dances, etc.

SANCTITY OF LIFE
Abortion is very real and tragic. Our nation has allowed over 53 million babies since 1973 to be aborted. Many of these women come from low-income neighborhoods and do not know what to do. We not only want to see every baby in the womb given a chance at life, but we also want to help these moms know they are not alone and that we will be with them every step of the way. We also want to be there for women who have had an abortion and help them to know God’s grace is real. It is in Him that they can find forgiveness and healing.. We work every month with Community Pregnancy Center of Pasadena who does an excellent job in ministering and helping women. Join us in seeing abortion ended and helping women who are facing very hard decisions.

SEX TRAFFICKING
Houston and the surrounding areas are in the top 5 in the United States with women being trafficked against their will. Many of these women are under the age of 17. Slavery is still very real today and we want to see this come to an end. By God’s grace, we were able to work along with the Laporte Police department in seeing a brothel that was sex trafficking shut down. Would you join us in seeing every woman freed from this and given the good news of Jesus?

RACIAL RECONCILIATION
Racism sadly still exists and is causing much pain to all races. One of the beautiful things about being a diverse church is getting to see racial reconciliation take place. Pasadena used to be known as the headquarters for the KKK and still racial tensions exist that we want to see come to an end. Additionally, our nation is living in intense times right now when it comes to race. Acts Community Church wants to see all people unified as one under Christ. We want to help bring our communities and the police department together. Our desire is to be a reflection of what heaven will be like where ALL races and ALL people will be unified worshiping God. Would you pray about joining us in seeing racial reconciliation take place in our communities, cities, and nation? Jesus said,“By this, all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.” (John 13:35).

DOMESTIC ABUSE
Women and children every day are being physically abused. We at Acts Community Church take this extremely serious and want to be a place where these women and children know they will be loved and protected. We provide classes and many other avenues to help assist.
